I have lived in Birstall since my marriage in 1969. My daughter and two granddaughters also live in Birstall.
I retired from my working life as a Warrant Officer for Leicestershire Magistrates Court in 2011 and joined Birstall Parish Council in 2013.
I enjoy communicating with people from all walks of life and have always contributed to my local community in some way.
I volunteered as a Special Constable for ten years and I was the Chair of the Birstall & Wanlip Neighbourhood Watch for six years. I continue to support the Watch as a street co-ordinator.
I particularly enjoy being involved in Birstall Parish Council's annual Gala and Christmas events as they bring our community together.
I hope to continue to bring my enthusiasm, experience and ideas to the Parish Council.
