I moved to Birstall over 40 years ago and happily raised my family here which is why I campaigned against Birstall getting swallowed up by Leicester

I've had an allotment for almost the whole of that time, and I have been active both in and out of the Council especially trying to improve pedestrian and cycling access as many parts of our village are isolated from each other.

I also support community litter picking, planting more trees and supporting sports clubs, our small businesses and all those voluntary groups which help add so much to our quality of life

I rejoined the Parish Council because it has been through major changes which I believe will enable us for the first time in many years to fully engage with our community and deliver what they want.
