Sadly Birstall Parish Council have been made aware of unacceptable behaviour occurring in the Greengate Lane Cemetery in the early evening.

This behaviour is understandably causing distress to those visiting the cemetery, expecting to experience peace and time for reflection.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is to be made for the following location, Colindale Avenue, Birstall. The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake street lighting works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 1 day commencing on the 8th October 2020.

Leicestershire County Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary road closure is required of the A6 Loughborough Road in both directions, from 21st September 2020 for 6 nights.

A temporary road closure is required on Loughborough Road, Birstall between the A46 and Redhill roundabout over 3 weekends: 8th and 9th August 15th and 16th August, 22nd and 23rd August. Birstall Playing Fields, Play Equipment and Outdoor Gym Equipment

The Parish Council have fully opened all of their enclosed play areas and play equipment on Monday 20 July 2020.

All play equipment will be disinfected twice a week by the Council's staff. Signage is in place limiting the numbers who can enter the enclosed play areas and asking you to avoid it if it is busy, the signs also remind everyone to social distance and wash your hands.
