The Parish Council's Estates & Recreation Committee decided to pilot a 12-month trial of offering quarter sized allotment plots for £10 per year and that these would be on the Greengate Lane site where there is an opportunity of creating six quarter plots all together.

FOOTPATH / BRIDLEWAY J52, BIRSTALL / WANLIP
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A temporary footpath / Bridleway closure is required of J52 from 08th January 2019 for 21 days.
The footpath will be closed between Wanlip Lane / Rectory Road and the A6.

The Parish Council approved a bid from Tanwood Construction Ltd and issued a Letter of Intent to enter into a Contract with them on 30 November 2018. The terms & conditions in the letter have been accepted and a signed copy of the agreement has now been received back enabling us to publish the news.
