Covid -19 Commemoration

Covid -19 Commemoration

The Union Flag on the Sibson Road roundabout has today been lowered and is flying at half mast.

This is to commemorate the first anniversary of the day that the Country went into lockdown in 2020.

It is also to show deepest respect to all of those who lost their lives and sympathy to those who have lost loved ones during this year.

It is also to thank Health Workers, the NHS and the many volunteers in Birstall who have offered their assistance to the community, helping us all to get through this together.

The Prime Minister has suggested that we all take a minute to reflect on the past year today at 12pm.
